Welcome to svn.appfrica.net

This is a Trac instance set up to allow you to follow the development of software development projects in Africa. This sever is free for the members of the Appfrica Community. We strongly encourage the participation of students, teachers, universities and young people as this area exists to share knowledge for the sake of education. To request access or create repositories for your own projects, contact [j.gosier@…].

F.A.Q

1. Are code.appfrica.net and svn.appfrica.net free?

Yes. Appfrica understands that there are limited resources and certain conditions that make it difficult for aspiring programmers in Africa. We've set up this server as a free service for the public.

2. Why can't I access certain repositories?

Some projects are password protected by the owner. To request access politely state who you are, why you want access and contact the owner. Not everything here is open source so don't be offended if you are refused.

3. How do I use Subversion?

If you've made it this far and you still don't know how to use Subversion I strongly suggest you read the free ebook http://svnbook.red-bean.com/. To download Subversion for your local machine or server visit http://subversion.tigris.org/ for the latest release.

4. What is SVN?

SVN is just a nickname for Subversion.
